Carter is starting to get older and with

getting older comes the dreaded

"talk".

Carter and I had this talk minus the more

adult topics a few months ago. 

However I am sure there were things I left out

or questions she had that she didn't know she had.

When I got the chance to review the

I gave the kit to Carter and she went off to read it in private.

About 10 minutes later she called me in her room

to ask me only 1 question

Her question was 

"It says to change my pad every 3-4 hours?"

"What if the teacher wont let us go to the bathroom that often"

To which I told her to tell her quietly that she has her period and the teacher will be ok with it. 

Overall she said that if I had not already told 

her most of the things in the book

"It would have taught her a lot"

Which as a mother made me feel like I was doing my job well.
