So I love green.
It is such a fresh color.
Almost all shades of green look good on me too.
Well, minus like lime and that dark hunter green.
Anyway, not the point of this post.
So with St Patrick's Day right around the corner
I thought I would spruce up my house a bit.
Give some life and color to these
dreary winter days!
So here is my first attempt at
a fabric wreath.
I have seen them around the blog world
and thought that looks easy enough.
I don't think it is full enough but it still
turned out pretty cute!
I made a last minute run to JoAnn's last night and found these
quarters of fabric for $1.50 each.
I thought I'd mix up all the green with a little bit
of creme.
Didn't get the green fabric cut into strips but you get the idea.
I basically cut long strips and then cut those strips in half.
About 7 inch strips I think.
Then I looped them through the U-shape
around a wire hanger.
For every 2 green ribbon I threw in a creme one.
Here it is all finished.
What do you think is it full enough?
I wrapped a black ribbon around the
hanger and have it hanging on the door.
I am now all ready for March!
What about you, will you hang a wreath
for St Patrick's Day or just
skip over the holiday and hang one up
for Spring?
I love it! I think you did a great job! I'm just wondering WHERE you find time to be so crafty?
ReplyDeleteSo creative, wire hanger- fab idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the uniqueness of the rags wreath!
