O'Christmas Tree

So since we are moving this year right smack in the middle of the Christmas season I am NOT putting up a Christmas tree!
I know shameful. When we moved from Kansas City to Okinawa during the same time back in 2006 I did put up a tree. From a few days before Thanksgiving until like 2 days before the movers came I had a tree up.
This year I just don't feel like it.
However, I do feel guilty about not putting one up and decorating.
So maybe to make me feel better or to show off my older trees or maybe both here are some of our Christmas trees years past...

2004...

2005...

2006...
Look how young Rosie was

2007...
My tree was NOT crooked just the picture?

2008...

2009...

This is all the tress we've had since we got married almost 8 years ago with the exception of our first Christmas tree in 2003. But that was before digital pictures and honestly I am too lazy to go dig up the actual picture and scan it. But looking at all of these pictures that all look a lot alike it looked like them.
I am redoing my tree next year.
All my kids have their own trees for their rooms... purple for Carter, pink for Rosie and blue for Ninja and Hulk since they share. Plus I have my big one you see above, another 4 foot one for somewhere and then a white one I got from my mom this year.
I will be rolling in the Christmas trees next year.
What can I say I LOVE Christmas!

  1. I don't blame you at all! We moved right before Christmas when my son was a few months old (his first Christmas!) and we didn't put up a tree either ;)

    Hope your move goes smoothly!

  2. Oh goodness, I don't blame you. We moved to Mass in November and closed on out House December 20th. We spent Christmas surrounded by loads and loads of boxes and no tree. We've also spent Christmas in a hotel in 29 Palms because we arrived December 23rd and everything was closed to check in. ugh.

I am so glad the USMC changed our move times from Winter to Summer, it's much better.
