Monster Cupcakes

I got into the spirit of sugar
I mean Halloween today and made
'monster' cupcakes for the kids.

I started with a simple Betty Crocker devils food cake mix
just because it sounded scary.
You know 'devils food'
Baked up my 30 cupcakes and let them cool.
Then I got my frosting out and dyed it
orange, green and purple.
I was going to use blue instead of purple but Rosie said
purple would be better and she was right.
I used a small tip so that I could make
'monster hair'
then gave the monsters eyes.
Some had 2 eyes some had 3 and a few even had only 1.
For the eyeball I used miniature chocolate chips.
I think these monster cupcakes are pretty cute if I say so...

After I got through decorating them I separated them
out for some neighbors to enjoy as well.

I still have a dozen left for my own family.
Just enough I think!

  1. So cute!!! We made ghost, goblin and pumpkin cake pops today. They were so hard to make and they definitely look amateur!
