The nasty of cleaning

One day while I was wasting way to much time on
Pinterest I came across a site that
claimed to clean your stove top grates with ammonia.
After looking at the site and reading some of the comments
I thought why not Mine could use a cleaning.
If you saw my stove top you would think that was an understatement.
Here is a rare I can't believe I am putting this out here
picture of my stove grates before I cleaned them.
Do you see how nasty that is?
That is after many attempts to clean it with an SOS pad too.

So here is how to clean them.
What you need:
Ammonia
Gallon Ziplock bags
How:
Place grate into Ziplock bag
Take 1/4 cup of ammonia and pour on top.
Seal the bags and place outside.
Leave outside overnight
I actually left mine outside for 2 nights only
because my husband grilled Friday night.

With minimal scrubbing here is what my stove looks like now.
 So much better!

Also, on a side note since cleaning was the thing to do
at our house this weekend.
If you are in the market for buying a carpet cleaner you should check out
Worth every penny.
Chocolate milk stains from months ago are now GONE!
The best part about this carpet cleaner is that you can lift off the tank
and use the scrubber for stairs or deep set in stains like yogurt.

Is it too early to consider all this cleaning my spring cleaning?
