Yummy Winter Recipe

I love my crock pot.
Like LOVE.
If you love your crock pot too or just need an
easy and quick dinner then I have just the recipe.

Beef French Dip Sandwiches

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds rump roast
  •   2 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
  •   2 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
  • 6 French rolls
  • Swiss cheese

It says to trim the excess fat from the roast and then put into your slow cooker.
(I don't trim my fat just cause it adds extra flavors)
Add the beef broth, French onion soup and beer.
Cook it on your low setting for 7 hours or high for about 4
It will start to look like this...
Doesn't that look so yummy!
Added bonus is that your house smells SO good while it cooks.

Spit the rolls and place the Swiss cheese onto the bread.
Bake at 350 until cheese is melted.
Add your meat with as much or as little of the juice that you like.
I make fries to go with it and to dip into the yummy juices.
Or last night I dipped the fries into the Country Bob's.

Doesn't this just look so good?

It is!
The bext part about this is that all 4 of my kiddos love this meal.
It takes about 5 minutes to put into your crock pot and does all the hard work for you!

Country Bob's Sauce Giveaway- closed

Being from the south we love to barbecue.
I mean like literally if I could find our grill right now under all the snow piled
on top, beside and all around it I'd have the hubby out there grilling us something.
You see how I said I'd have the hubby out there right?

What I have been dying to have lately is a good grilled steak.
Nothing compares to a steak cooked just the way you like it with a baked potato or sweet potato in my case with a great dipping sauce.
Now, I know some of you might be thinking that if the steak is worth anything
then it doesn't need a dipping sauce.
Well, you are probably right.
Only thing is that I am a tad bit obsessed with having something to dip my steak in.

In comes Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce.
Good for anything from steaks, hamburgers, fries, chicken.

It even look yummy in the picture doesn't it?
Now, you know when I got this in the mail the first thing I had to do was try it out.
Of course that was at like 3 in the afternoon and with dinner being a non-dipping food
I thought,
"I'll just make me a couple french fries to test out the product".
Umm, yeah so now that I ate all that and LOVED the sauce I might not eat dinner later.
Oops.

Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce comes in 4 great tastes:
Original
Honey Habanero
Apple Chipolte

Kids Cooking- Extraordinaire Banana Pudding

Every now and then I get adventurous and let my kids come into the kitchen and "cook" something.
I am going to try to start letting this happen on a weekly basis and then capture it.
Last night while I was making vegetable soup (Rosie's favorite) I remembered
the bananas sitting on my counter. And I thought banana pudding would be good tonight.
So I called little Rosie in to make some banana pudding.
She loves making this and its so easy that she thinks that she has made something extraordinaire.

So here is Rosie's Extraordinaire Banana Pudding

Package of vanilla instant pudding
Nilla Wafers
3-4 Bananas
Cool Whip
Follow directions for banana pudding on the vanilla pudding box. :)
See I told you easy!

and let me tell you that is the BEST banana pudding ever! :)
