A few weeks ago Ninja had his first field trip of the
school year.
The preschool classes were going to Goss Farms
for hay rides, corn mazes, animal petting, cow trains and most of all
to get a pumpkin.
Sounds like fun right?!?

Well, overall it was.
But first we had a little mishap...
Once we were assigned our chaperoned children and got loaded onto
the buses we took off.
While leaving the gate of the base our bus hit
one of the barriers that you are supposed to go around.
In the drivers defense I am sure he didn't mean to run over
a big metal X of sorts with a bus full of children.
I mean we hit that thing so hard the bus
almost tipped according to parents on the other bus.
Needless to say we busted our tire and had to all board one bus.
So some 50 preschoolers and the 15 or so chaperones on one bus.
Not so fun!
Here is the busted tire I took a picture of with my phone.

Once we got to the farm we were split into 4 groups.
I was put into the group with our teacher assistant which was nice
because I haven't gotten to know her quite as well as I'd like to.
She is a wonderful woman and is one of the reasons Ninja is
in that same preschool class again this year.

Here are some of the pictures of the kids while
exploring the farm.

The next day at school the children were asked to draw their
favorite part of the field trip.
This was Ninja's favorite thing...

"When the bus got a flat tire!"
HA!
Gotta love that kid!

The Alphabeast Review Spotlight Post Trick or Treat Giveaway Event

I know as moms we tend to have to
figure out creative ways to teach our children
sometimes.
I can not think of any cuter or creative way to help
Ninja and Hulk learn their alphabet than using

What are Alphabeasts you ask?
Alphabeasts are adorable plush creatures
that have special powers.
These powers help the Alphabeasts to work out any
problems they may have.

There is an Alphabeast for every letter
of the alphabet.
Each Alphabeast has both the upper and lower case
letter stitched onto it to help with
letter recognition.

We were sent the adorable
Wombat who has large ears that help him hear
a mouse from miles away.
He is a young monster so he is a worrier
which helps him to be extra cautious.

The people at The Alphabeasts have offered to
sponsor Our Crazy Bunch in the upcoming
Trick or Treat Giveaway Event.
Make sure you come back on
Friday October 28th for your chance to win
one of these adorable beasts.
As well as all the other giveaways from the event.

*I was not compensated for this review. I was sent a product for my review purposes.

Fall at Minutemen Park

I have been meaning to get over to
Minutemen Park while the leaves are changing
and yesterday we finally did.
We went over for an early evening walk and got
some gorgeous pictures.

Are the leaves changing where you live?
Do you have more vibrant colors?
I wish I could find more reds and oranges
rather than the yellows.
Either way it's all gorgeous
and why fall is one of my favorite times of the year!

Happy Monday to you all!

Have you been Boo'd?

There is the little game going on around the base.
I don't live on a street that has boo'd yet
so I started my own tonight.
You can get the Boo Gram here.

Once you get Boo's you have to place the
Boo sign in your window so that you don't get Boo'd
more than once.
Then you need to pass it on and Boo 2 of your neighbors.

In my Boo Gram is
Reese Peanut Butter Cup
Candy Corn
Halloween Cookie Cutters
Sugar cookie mix
Halloween icing
Halloween stickers
A glow necklace
and of course the bucket itself.

I ding dong ditched 2 houses tonight and have 1 more to do.
I'm trying not to get caught by the neighbor kids.
So what are you waiting for?
You know you want to ding dong ditch someone.
:)

Judy Moody and the Not So Bummer Summer now on DVD

SUMMER VACATION DOESN’T NEED TO END YET
Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer
Extra Thrill Points Arrive on Blu-ray and DVD
Now available.

Summary: Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment  announced today the continuation of summer fun and thrill points as JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER, the irresistible family comedy based on the best-selling book series, arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on October 11.

The first film adaptation of the beloved children’s book series, JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER, by Megan McDonald with illustrations by Peter H. Reynolds, is a delightfully, laugh-out-loud hilarious treat for adventure-loving kids, tweens and adults.

Feisty, fearless Judy Moody (Jordana Beatty) is looking forward to the most super-duper, double-rare summer vacation ever. The trouble is, her parents are called out of town and her BFFs are going away with their own families. That leaves Judy trapped at home with her pesky brother Stink (Parris Mosteller) under the watchful eye of Aunt Opal (Heather Graham). But with a little playful planning - and a lot of imagination - Judy turns a snoresville summer into the way-not-boring adventure of a lifetime!

The JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER SUMMER Blu-ray and DVD comes with a collectible Judy Moody Activity Book complete with extrathrilladelic games, puzzles, activities and more.  Additionally, each Blu-ray and DVD is packed with never-before-seen bonus features including a behind the scenes cast vignette, “10 Things You Didn’t Know About Judy Moody”, an exclusive Camryn Summer Music Video, and much more.

The film stars newcomer Jordana Beatty (Superman Returns)  as Judy Moody along with Heather Graham (The Hangover, “Scrubs”), Jaleel White (“Psych,” “Family Matters”), Preston Bailey (“Dexter”) and Parris Mosteller (“Worst Week”).  John Schultz (Aliens in the Attic) directs from a screenplay by Megan McDonald and Kathy Waugh (Big and Small). Smokewood Entertainment’s Sarah Siegel-Magness and Gary Magness (Precious) produced the film with Bobbi Sue Luther and Andrew Sugarman serving as executive producers. The film was released theatrically by Relativity Media.

JUDY MOODY AND THE NOT BUMMER  SUMMER is available as a 1-disc DVD or 3-disc Blu-ray Triple Play with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy.  ARP is $24.99 for Blu-ray Triple Play and $19.99 for DVD.

*I was sent a promotional DVD for this information. I was not given any monetary compensation.

Salem Massachusetts

On Sunday we had a little bit
of "forced' family fun.
:)
(to borrow that term from my neighbor)

I decided we would go to Salem Mass.
I mean what better time to go explore the witch hunts
than in October right?
Of course it was packed since the entire month
of October there is one thing or another going on.
Not to mention all the other people who thought the same thing I did.

Once we parked and got the kids out we/I had to decide what to do next.
Since of course much to my husbands dislike
we/I went without a plan.
I decided we would go to the Salem Witch Museum.
There is no flash photography in the museum
which of course sucks for me since I wanted to show all of you.
Here are the few pictures I did take from before we began our tour.

Here is my complaint with the Salem Witch Museum...
When you go in you are packed into a room for a
witch trial reenactment which I thought was
maybe done by actual people.
Not so much more like creepy wax figures with a spotlight on them.
Not that the information wasn't great but turning off the lights and starting the creepy
witchy music scared a few kids and not just mine.
After the presentation we had to wait about 10 minutes in the gift shop
before going into the rest of the museum which was a circle with
more wax figures of the old fashion mid-wife, her herbs she used to heal,
a 'hollywood' witch, a time line and witch hunt progression explanation.
Overall the museum was not worth my time or money.
I think my kids would have learned more by me renting
Salem Witch Trails movie or The Crucible.
Oh well you live and learn right?

On a positive note I did get some really cool pictures of an old cemetary
and other cool things in Salem.

while walking down a street with all kinds of vendors
and witches Carter spotted and asked for some fried dough.
Which to us Southerners is a funnel cake basically.

 It was yummy!

And you cant go to Salem without seeing a witch or two...

Flashback Friday the last 2 years

I just realized this morning that
in 20 days my wonderful parents are going to be here.
Which also means that in less than a month
my baby Hulk will be 2.
Now this makes me very sad.
I'm not even sure that I can still call him
baby Hulk once he turns 2.
When did this happen?
How did the last 2 years go by so fast?
Is it because he is it?
The final baby I will have?

I mean look at this...

Look at this difference in these next two March to May...

I suppose I am being overly emotional about
my baby growing up.
As it is everyone keeps telling me
he is not a baby anymore and he slept in his
toddler bed all night last night.
Here is my almost 2 year old big boy now.

Wordy Wednesday

Monday for the holiday we decided to
drive up to Maine.
It is on my New England bucket list and while
there are still things in Maine I want to do
I can cross one thing off.
Going to the Nubble Lighthouse.
It was a gorgeous day to go with the temps in the mid 70's.
The leaves were just beginning to turn all kinds
of beautiful colors too.
Here are some of the many pictures I took...

Have a great Wednesday!
