NC Trip

I know I have been home for a week 

now and am just going to post this

but I have been busy.

You know life of a SAHM kind of busy.

So yeah here are some of my pictures from

my trip.

Semi-Wordless Wednesday

I am a big One Tree Hill fan.

Although I did not begin watching until about 2 years ago 

I have seen every episode and LOVE the show.

While in North Carolina I convinced the hubby

to take me to Wilmington where the show is filmed.

Of course when we went it was pouring so I went to 2 of

the more famous and noticeable places from the show.

Exploring Jacksonville NC

Whenever I think of Jacksonville NC

all I think about is the Marine Corps base there

and how much I would NOT want to be stationed here.

I'm sure all military wives have their I hope we 

NEVER have to go there bases.

If you are a Marine wife who has never been to Camp Lejeune you

may be just like me and have it on the absolutely not list.

Well, rumors suck let me tell you.

I am here on vacation for a week while my hubby is in a school

and so far I could see myself living here.

Of course there are a lot of tattoo, pawn shops and strip clubs

but it is by a Marine Base after all. 

I told the hubby it was now ok to put Camp Lejeune on our 'list".

While I have been here I have visited with my bestie whom I 

hadn't seen in almost 4 years.

Being that she lives here that might have something to do with my

all of a sudden "I could live here" attitude.

Yesterday after dinner the hubby suggested we take baby Hulk

to the Vietnam and Beirut memorials here. 

Now, being that everywhere there is something I couldn't imagine 

there was going to be anywhere with enough space. 

I was again wrong about Jacksonville, NC.

The memorial is beautifully done.

I left the good camera in the hotel.

 

Road Trip North and South

This weekend has been one of many miles.

Friday evening the hubby, baby Hulk and I headed 

north to Vermont for the hubby to run in the

Spartan Beast 12 mile adventure race.

The hubby took off in the first heat at 9am 

and we waited and waited.

My poor hubby did his run and 25 obstacles in 5 hours and 40 minutes.

Here are some of the pictures I could take on Saturday...

After the race we drove the 3 hours back home to pack

for a trip to North Carolina.

The hubby is going to be here for 8 weeks going to a school for work

and since 3 out of my 4 kids are gone I thought

I'll go with him for a week and a half.

Plus you know my bestie lives here.

Our Trip to the Zoo

Last Friday the hubby was home for the start

of his extra long weekend due to 

the 4th of July holiday.

We/I decided we should go to the zoo.

We have the choice of either the Stone Zoo or the Franklin Park Zoo.

Since my hubby and kids are a big fan of monkeys we chose

the Franklin Park Zoo.

We/I also decided that we should become zoo members since there are 

so many of us and this was a good way

to go to the zoo whenever and save some money.

My kids LOVE the zoo do this makes sense for us.

Plus added bonus was that if you buy a membership to the 

zoo it is good for BOTH zoos.
